Downtown’s Forthcoming Food Hall Now Has A Name

As was reported earlier this summer, a massive new food hall is opening in Downtown Houston, and now one of the city’s most anticipated restaurant projects has an official name: Finn Hall.

website for the project formerly known as “The Food Hall at Main and Rusk” announces the new moniker for the concept, which will set up shop at 712 Main Street in The Jones building. The name is reportedly a hat-tip to architect Alfred C. Finn, who designed the original Gulf building that is now known as The Jones on Main.

In addition to ten “chef-driven” restaurants, including a possible outpost of Mala Sichan Bistro, the space will also boast an “art deco cocktail lounge” and craft beer bar. At present, Finn Hall is still searching for restaurants to fill its 20,000 square feet, with a focus on the “best food concepts in Houston.” Each restaurant will also be required to offer all-day dining, including options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and no official tenants have been announced.

Finn Hall is set to make its debut sometime early next year, though no official opening date has been set as of yet.
