Swallow’s Nest and St. Jac’s bars join Finn Hall

Two new craft cocktail bars – St. Jac’s and Swallow’s Nest – are joining the lineup at Finn Hall, the downtown food hall opening in The Jones on Main in the  JPMorgan Chase & Co. Building on Main Street later this summer.

The announcement of the two bars completes the food and beverage lineup at 20,000 square foot Finn Hall, which will include some of Houston’s most popular restaurants and food trucks as operators in an Art Deco setting.

St. Jac’s will be on the ground floor of the main hall and offer specialty cocktails, 16 beers on tap and 12 wines on tap. The beer selection will feature local brews such as Saint Arnold Orange Show, Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny and Back Pew Blue Testament. Cocktails will appeal to the Houston palate with offerings such as the 610 Citrus (tequila, lime juice and agave nectar), the DJ Screwdriver (Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka, Paula’s Texas Orange and sparkling rose) and the 45 Southside (Hendrick’s Gin, Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, mint and cucumber).

Join barbecue columnist J.C. Reid, James Beard Award-winning restaurant critic Alison Cook and food editor Greg Morago as they discuss the culture of barbecue in Houston, across Texas and anywhere else where meat meets smoke.

Swallow’s Nest will be on the mezzanine level and will offer classic cocktails and wine by the glass and bottle. The bar will offer table service where customers can place an order from a server from any of the downstairs food stalls. Swallow’s Nest cocktails will be named for Houston landmarks and famous athletes such Hakeem Olajuwon, Earl Campbell and Nolan Ryan.

St. Jac’s and Swallow’s Nest will be the only two establishments in Finn Hall serving alcohol. Drinks ordered at either bar can be enjoyed throughout the hall.

The two bars join 10 food vendors including Goode Co. Taqueria, Low Tide, Mr. Nice Pie, Dish Society, Mala Sichuan, Craft Burger, Sit Lo, Yong, and Oddball Eats, as well as Amaya Coffee.

Finn Hall is located at 712 Main. Two other food halls, Lyric Market and Bravery Chef Hall, are also slated to open downtown this year.
